The Living Room

Relaxed, open & comfortable

The main living area is open-plan, bright and comfortable, with a vaulted ceiling and windows on multiple sides keeping things feeling nicely spacious. Two generous sofas face a full-width fitted media unit with an electric log-effect stove and flat-screen TV, and the French doors open straight out onto the deck.

Kitchen & Dining

A well-equipped kitchen

The kitchen is a real practical asset for a holiday lodge — white shaker-style units paired with a large central island give you plenty of worktop and storage space, and a Velux skylight keeps the whole area bright. It flows through to a dedicated dining area with bench seating, making it a good spot for family meals.

Outdoor Space

The wraparound deck

The wraparound deck is a real bonus — it runs around two sides of the lodge and is fully enclosed with a close-railed balustrade, so it's safe and secure for young children. It's furnished throughout with all-weather rattan furniture, giving you a good outdoor space to make use of whatever time of year you visit.

Something a Little Special

Sunsets over the sea

Hunstanton is one of the very few places on the East Coast of England where you can watch the sun set over the sea. Because the town faces west across The Wash, the evenings here have a quality you simply don't get along most of the coastline.

Both of these photos were taken locally. On a clear evening, the deck at Kensington 88 is a pretty good place to watch it happen.

The Area

Worth knowing

Hunstanton is well placed for the best of the Norfolk coast. Here are five things within 25 miles that are worth making time for.

🦭
Seal Trips
Searles Sea Tours run seal safaris from the promenade on their amphibious Wash Monsters — a genuinely brilliant hour out, especially for kids. The Wash holds one of the largest colonies of common seals in the UK. On your doorstep
🥾
Norfolk Coast Path
The National Trail starts right in Hunstanton. Walk the first section to Thornham (around 6 miles), stop for lunch at the Lifeboat Inn, and catch the Coasthopper bus back. One of the better half-day walks on the east coast. Starts in town
🌿
Holme Dunes
A 470-acre Norfolk Wildlife Trust nature reserve just a few miles along the coast. Sand dunes, salt marsh and pools — a stopping point for migrating birds in spring and autumn, and a good place to walk with the dogs. 10 mins by car
🏖️
Brancaster Beach
A wide, flat National Trust beach backed by salt marsh and dunes — far less busy than Hunstanton, and brilliant for dogs. The kind of beach where you can walk for an hour and barely see another person. 15 mins by car
🌲
Sandringham Estate
The Royal estate is 25 minutes south. The grounds include 600 acres of country park with good waymarked walking and cycling trails, open year-round regardless of whether the house is open. Worth a morning. 25 mins by car
